The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom was a multi-service aircraft that served as a primary fighter with the Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. Carrying a crew of two, a pilot and weapon systems officer, it was capable of speeds in excess of Mach 2, 1400 miles per hour or more.
