Casa Grande Neon Sign Park opened in the spring of 2019 with 12 historic signs. The park neon on the marquee sign was repurposed from the "TOOLS" sign that stood in front of the CO-OP building at Florence Boulevard and Pearl Road from 1976 until Harbor Freight Tools donated it in 2014, and only four of its original five panels are used. Former Casa Grande Main Street director and chair of the City's Historic Preservation Commission Marge Jantz had the vision to save local signs so they could be restored and displayed, worked with others to secure the votes needed for a $144,000 grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Main Street America, and American Express, and solicited donations from individuals and businesses to extend the grant money. She also addressed pole treatments for longevity, custom pedestals, a mascot, and nostalgic signage, serving without compensation. The project became a national award-winning neon sign park that placed second among 25 projects across the country. Marge Jantz and current Casa Grande Main Street Director Rina Rien are commended, and the park reflects a partnership of Casa Grande Main Street, the Casa Grande Historic Preservation Commission, the Donovan Kramer Family, and Casa Grande Valley Newspaper Inc.
