Chucalissa was a central village site where people lived beginning sometime near the year 1000 CE and ending around the year 1600 CE. Over the course of 600 years, thousands of people lived, worked and played on this landscape. Archaeology and the careful examination of the objects and remains they left behind make it possible to reconstruct their lives.
