The Double Eagle celebrates the country’s founding, with one eagle looking proudly back on a glorious past and the other gazing confidently to an unlimited future; it was presented to the people of White County by the members of the White County Bicentennial Commission and the Tennessee American Revolution Bicentennial Commission in December 1976.
