Built in 1883 to house the Ennis National Bank, which was established that same year with businessman Joseph Baldridge as its first president, this Classical Revival building held the bank on the first floor until 1917, while the second story was leased for offices. After a new bank facility was built, numerous businesses occupied the building, which features a corner turret, corbeled brick parapet, and the original cast iron storefront.
