Scandia was organized on Jan. 17, 1898, built in 1910, and merged with Faith Lutheran at New Effington, South Dakota, in 1963. Its pastors were Rev. K.N. Rudie from 1898 to 1911, Rev. H.O. Lee from 1911 to 1916, Rev. Edw Erickson from 1916 to 1923, Rev. Christ Iverson from 1924 to 1928, Rev. E.P. Dreyer from 1928 to 1946, Rev. T.C. Knutson from 1947 to 1953, Rev. Stanley Erickson from 1954 to 1958, and Rev. Raynard Huglen from 1958 to 1963.
