Huffman Covered Bridge
Science & Tech
Huffman Covered Bridge was a fifty-foot wooden road bridge built in 1914 south of Middleburg, Ohio, across the Middle Fork Duck Creek. Constructed with a Kingpost truss, it stood as a notable example of a historic covered bridge and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 4, 1975. The bridge survived into the late twentieth century, but a destructive flood in 1998 washed out its supports and swept it away. That same flood also took six lives.
