In Honea Path, these men were killed on September 6, 1934, during the General Textile Strike: Claude Cannon, E.M. Knight, Lee Crawford, Maxie Peterson, Ira Davis, C.L. Rucker, and Thomas Yarborough. Their memory was honored along with their families and all workers.
