Mount Hillers is a 10,741-foot summit in the Henry Mountains of southern Utah on the Colorado Plateau, rising from a remote desert range and standing among the named peaks that define the Henrys. Almon Harris Thompson named it for government photographer John Karl Hillers, tying the mountain to the period of western survey work when the plateau was being documented by explorers, scientists, and photographers. The peak lies in a cold semi-arid climate zone where, despite its elevation, the range receives less than 10 inches of precipitation annually, with most moisture in spring and summer and usually light winter snowfall.
