Chadwick Arboretum is a sixty-two-acre botanical garden on the Ohio State University agriculture campus in Columbus, with its main collection near Lane Avenue and additional collections nearby. Open daily without charge, it contains about one thousand trees representing more than one hundred twenty species that grow across Ohio. Its notable strengths include special collections of conifers and willows, and in 2005 it included an Ohio State Champion Abies cephalonica. The arboretum also includes a Learning Garden and specialized plantings of annuals, hostas, perennials, roses, and wildflowers, together forming one of Ohio’s most varied collections of flora, with strong native, woody, tropical, and annual selections.
