The memorial honors the men and women of Coweta County who served their country in the Great War for world-wide liberty and remembers those who gave their lives from 1917 to 1919: Robert A. Brook, Tommie C. Lee, Jesse Curtis Fincher, Charles M. Mc Ghee, Homer Gentry, John F. Mc Kee, Carey J. Hardaway, Ben Loyd Nixon, Alvin Hugh Harris, Parker I. Padgett, Marvin S. Harris, Walter C. Pitman, Lewis Haynie, Everett D. Rainey, Marvin Hubbard, Samuel I. Rooks, John Will Lambert, Jas. A. Smith, Charlton S. Leach, Paul Smith, Albert M. Swygert, and, under Colored, Edward Allen, Eddie Jackson, Vinson Amey, George A. Mc Combs, Thomas Brooks, Ernest Moreland, Ernest Clerk, Tom Neely, Willie Couch, Isaiah Pullen, Ben Elliott, Ed.
