Sycamore Ranger Station, a historic Forest Service site in Prescott National Forest near Camp Verde, Arizona, was established in 1917 and developed as both an administrative post and staff housing. Named for nearby Sycamore Creek, the station had an office, dwelling, barn, and possibly a chicken house by the 1920s. In the late 1930s or 1940s, the Civilian Conservation Corps built new facilities, including a dwelling and barn that still stand. Built in 1940 from United States Forest Service architectural plans, these surviving buildings helped earn the site listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993 for their vernacular architecture and role in a remote administrative center.
