Edmonton Post No. 154 American Legion and the citizens of Metcalfe County erected this war memorial in honor of all who served and dedicated it to the memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice. It names county residents who died in World War I, World War II, Vietnam, and Iraq: Edward Bragg, Kenus Hodges, Milton Thomas Janes, Virgie Jones, Eugene S. Kinnaird, James H. Royce, Frank Henry Witty, Chris Cassady, Jack Coleman, Ben England, Robert Estes, Wiley Ferrell, Cecil Fields, Otis Garmon, Kelly Hoover, James Hurt, Arnold Knipp, Kenneth Leamon, Billy Frank Leftwich, Russell Richardson, Albert Scott, Weldon Syra, Howard Thurman, Lowell Witty, David Lawson, Richard Donald Smith, Billy Wayne Rutherford, Larry Toth, and Eric.
