In 1876 Charles Bunker built the Park House to accommodate 85 guests. D.W. Ranlet purchased the hotel in 1880 and it was renamed the Ranlet Hotel. It was sold in 1900 to Ira A. Taylor and renamed the Altamonte Hotel. In 1910, Isidore and Sadie Lusher bought it, becoming the first Jewish people in Bethlehem to own a hotel, and it then became the first hotel to cater strictly to Jewish visitors. The hotel was torn down in 1986.
