Buskirk Bridge is a wooden covered bridge over the Hoosic River in eastern New York, connecting Washington County and Rensselaer County near the hamlet of Buskirk. Named with nearby roads and a fire station for the local Van Buskirk family, it is a Howe truss bridge built to replace an earlier Burr arch truss. Considered perhaps the earliest surviving Howe truss bridge in New York State, it represents an important shift in 19th-century American bridge engineering. One of 29 historic covered bridges in the state, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 8, 1972, and still carries vehicle traffic under joint county upkeep.
