The officers and men who sailed the ships of the U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II are honored here, especially the 6700 unsung heroes who lost their lives in that conflict, as are the sons and daughters who follow in their footsteps and continue to “ down to the sea in ships.” They are remembered, honored, missed, and never forgotten.
