Plimoth Patuxet is a nonprofit living history museum complex in Plymouth, Massachusetts, founded in 1947 and renamed in 2020 to reflect a fuller history of Patuxet and Plymouth Colony. It recreates seventeenth-century English colonial life and interprets Native life at a Wampanoag homesite through reconstructed settings, research, archaeology, collections, and education. Begun by Henry Hornblower II with two cottages and a fort on the waterfront, it grew into a larger campus that includes the English Village, Wampanoag Homesite, visitor and craft facilities, barns, the Plimoth Grist Mill, and the care of Mayflower II. Its interpreters present daily work, seasonal life, and Indigenous traditions for visitors.
