Lake Elmo State Park is a public recreation area on the northeast side of Billings, Montana, occupying 123 acres at an elevation of 3,199 feet around a 64-acre reservoir. Designed for easy day use, it offers swimming, non-motorized boating, three beachfront areas, a fishing pier, and broad grassy spaces for general recreation. The park also includes two group-use shelters, a playground, and a fenced dog park on the lake’s west side. Its reservoir is primarily supplied by the Billings Bench Water Association Canal, which creates an unusual lakeside setting along the city’s edge.
