A memorial service on 9/11/02 was dedicated to remembering the victims and places associated with the attacks in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, New York, New York, and Washington, District of Columbia, expressing grief, strength, courage, remembrance, and hope for the future, with participation by the Central Florida Fire Chiefs Association, the Firefighters Council of Central Florida, and the FDNY Retirees, Orlando Florida Division, and with Jeb Bush, Governor of Florida, as principal speaker.
