The Jefferson Davis Presidential Library and Museum at Beauvoir in Biloxi, Mississippi, serves as a museum and research library devoted to Jefferson Davis, president of the Confederate States from 1861 to 1865, preserving his papers, records, artifacts, and related historical materials. It is not part of the U.S. presidential library system, because Davis was not a president of the United States. Managed by the Mississippi Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans with state support, it includes permanent and temporary exhibits. After Hurricane Katrina destroyed the library pavilion and other buildings in 2005, a new library was built and reopened in 2013 with Federal Emergency Management Agency support.
