Paiute Wilderness is a protected wilderness area in northwestern Arizona covering 87,900 acres, or about 355 square kilometers, and administered by the Bureau of Land Management. Its southern portion lies within Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, while the rest remains under Bureau of Land Management oversight outside the monument boundary. North of the area, across Interstate 15, lies the Beaver Dam Mountains Wilderness. Together, these features place Paiute Wilderness in a remote part of the state where broad stretches of desert and mountain landscape remain largely undeveloped and protected.
