The Green River Union Meeting House and its burial ground stand three miles northwest as part of the Great Frontier Revival of the early 1800's. Huguenots came in 1806 and 1814, organized and built a log church, and then about 1845 built the present meeting house. Methodists, Baptists, and Presbyterians met there before building their own churches in the area. Many leading ministers of those days were trained there.
