Bee Mountain is a 2,946-foot mountain in North Carolina’s High Country, located entirely within Pisgah National Forest. It is part of the upland terrain that feeds streams flowing toward the Catawba River. The mountain is especially notable for its relative isolation and undeveloped setting. Only Roseboro Road comes anywhere near it, leaving the surrounding area remote and little developed within the national forest. That combination of elevation, watershed role, and seclusion gives Bee Mountain its distinctive character in this part of North Carolina.
