Weston Bend State Park occupies 1,133 acres of hilly, forested land on the east bank of the Missouri River southeast of Weston. Named for the river bend that shapes its landscape, it is valued for broad river views and for hiking and biking trails, picnic areas, and a campground. Bee Creek borders the park on the north and Bear Creek on the west, contributing to its wooded, uneven terrain. The area also preserves a link to Platte County’s agricultural past: tobacco was once a significant local industry, and one surviving tobacco barn within the park has been converted into an enclosed shelter.
