In 2008, MARSH-21 commissioned a youth baseball donor recognition monument at the former intersection of Oak Avenue and 2nd Street, an area converted into parkland through the Highway 13 Veterans Parkway project completed in October 2003. The former Armory and A.J. Reeths Field parcels became part of the community park known as the Steve J. Miller Recreation Area, which had originally been named in July 1976 after the Steve J. Miller Foundation donated land at the corner of 4th Street and Spruce Avenue. That donated land had been the site of Steve J. Miller's Mid-State Cheese Corporation building, which was destroyed by fire in January 1976. Miller was an innovative business leader and a strong supporter of Marshfield's youth.
