Flora is a sculptural work by Pittsburgh artist Marlana Adele Vassar, created in 2023. Vassar's work weaves symbolism, surrealism, and storytelling into subjects that are both intimately personal and inviting of interpretation. In this work, she references mythology, natural elements, and the stylistic traditions of the park's historical art nouveau sculptures to create a distinctly modern and individualized aesthetic.
