The Museum of the Southwest is a multidisciplinary museum housed in the Fred and Juliette Turner House, a 5,300-square-foot mansion designed by architect Anton F. Korn and built in 1936–37. Opened in 1966, the museum presents art such as prints, paintings, and drawings, and also includes the Durham Children's Museum. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the house provides a historic setting for the institution’s cultural work. Its collections include the 1959 Kentucky Derby trophy, and recent exhibitions have featured Out of Many, One: Portraits of America's Immigrants and Away from the Earth: The Fort Worth Circle of Artists in 2022.
