History
4
The Imperial Valley Press was established in 1901 with the aid of W.F. Holt in the town of Imperial and was known as the Imperial Press. Holt moved the paper to the new city of El Centro in 1906 and changed its name to the Imperial Valley Press. Over the past 100 years it has had many owners and today it is the oldest continuous business in the Imperial Valley, still responsibly chronicling the day-to-day history of the Imperial Valley.
