Built on this site in 1860, the James Imhoff family residence was associated with the Imhoffs, who as hoteliers, bankers, and supporters of Nebraska Wesleyan University contributed to the development of Lincoln as the state capital. Century House at 1201 Lincoln Mall was built in 1964, and its brick mural was created by Jay Tschetter in 2003.
