Originally built for the former Farmers and Merchants Bank, this granite and brick structure was designed by prominent San Francisco architect George W. Kelham. With almost no exterior changes, it exemplifies Renaissance Revival style and reflects early local interest in building skyscrapers. The building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
