Bluestone State Park
Nature
Bluestone State Park is a 2,154-acre recreation area in Summers County, West Virginia, on the western shore of Bluestone Lake, where the Bluestone River meets the New River. The lake, an impoundment of the New River managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, gave the park its setting and shares its name with the nearby river. Centered on access to the water and wooded lakeshore, the park offers cabins, campsites including some with electrical hookups, boating access, a marina with boat and canoe rentals, a swimming pool, and picnic areas. It is one of West Virginia’s lake-oriented recreation destinations.
