One of the deBary retreat’s oldest structures was a long shed next to the stable, and for years its bays sheltered wagons and farm equipment until the owners, the hunting estate, and the shed itself faded away. Buried traces of the historic structure were later found at its original site. The tradition of the deBary estate continued as visiting hikers and riders came for outdoor adventure.
