The Harriet Tubman Museum in Cape May, New Jersey, is located at 632 Lafayette Street in the renovated Howell House, the former parsonage of Macedonia Baptist Church within the Cape May Historic District. Devoted to Harriet Tubman’s life and work in New Jersey, it places special emphasis on her time living in Cape May. The museum opened virtually on June 19, 2020, then physically on September 17, 2020, at an event attended by Governor Phil Murphy, who had approved legislation making it New Jersey’s official Harriet Tubman Museum. In 2024, it and the neighboring Macedonia Baptist Church joined the New Jersey Black Heritage Trail.
