The Ossining National Bank, remodeled in 1906 in the Renaissance Revival style, was inspired by the famous library of St. Mark's in Venice, Italy. Its features include a red, hipped Spanish tile roof and Doric and Ionic columns on the main facade. The bank is part of the Barlow Block, a row of buildings constructed more than three decades earlier, and this portion of the block had housed the Ossining Post Office until it moved to Highland Avenue. Architect William H. Rahman was hired to give the bank's portion of the block a more contemporary appearance. The bank's pink granite cladding was quarried at Crotch Island in Stonington, Maine, a source also used for the Smithsonian Institution and Rockefeller Center.
