Harrison School was erected in 1890 as a four-room grade and high school building at 7th and Maple Streets, known as the Harrison Building. A four-room addition for high school purposes was constructed in 1905, and a second addition in 1929 consolidated all the schools of the Lebanon Independent Borough. A final addition in 1960 included a gymnatorium. The building closed as a school in 1976, and the original structure and first two additions were demolished in 1977. The project was associated with directors M.B. Blauch, president; J.H. Kochenderfer, secretary; J.D. Miller, treasurer; building committee members B.F. Patschke, J.H. Demler, and Ezra Boyer; architect Harvey T. Hauer; and builder John H. Cilley.
