Kenneth "Kenny" Osborn joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 1972. He was killed on July 13, 1978 after stopping to investigate an abandoned vehicle on the Turner Turnpike, where he was struck by an out-of-control semi-trailer rig loaded with steel.
