Hull honors its veterans across conflicts from the War of the Revolution, the Civil War, the War with Spain, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam Era, and names those who died in service: Thomas Howard, Frank S Long, Jr., Oscar S Mitchell, William E Shaw, Harold O Cadish, John E Eastman, Charles F Fitzpatrick, Arnold W Halvorsen, Richard J Meade, James W Newton, Arthur J Osmundsen, William P Porrazzo, James W Richardson, Henry A Simmons, Richard A Tierney, Donald Vautrinot, James C Daigle, Joseph P Dunn, and James E Sullivan. The community dedicated its war memorial on May 30, 1924, rebuilt it in 1949, dedicated a Korean memorial in 1958, and dedicated a Vietnam memorial on June 23, 2013. It also expresses grateful recognition to veterans from the firefighters and police officers of Hull in 1993, remembers all veterans through memorial benches including one for SK2 William P. Richardson of USS Worcester CL 144, and includes a Blue Star Memorial as a tribute to the Armed Forces of America.
