Before 1895, an adobe building on this site served as a post office until fire destroyed it. In 1897, L.E. Cornwall replaced it with a new brick building that represents Florence's late nineteenth century architecture through its brick and stone construction, first-story storefront, metal lintel above the storefront, rock-faced lintel and sill courses, large upper-story street-facing windows, and decorative secondary cornice with star ornaments. For more than 100 years, it has been part of the commercial district, housing a post office in 1897, a photography studio on the second floor from 1900 to 1949, the National Club Saloon in 1902, the Antler Bar in 1906, the Fulton Meat Market in 1912, Miller Brothers Garage in 1919, Bundy Auto Company in 1925, Bundy Motor in 1937, Doyles Auto and Pixler's Radio in 1947, Hagaman Gas and Appliance in 1949, Florence Auto Parts in 1975, Everything Twice and Habitat for Humanity's Re-Store in 2004, and retail space in 2006. It is now Royal Contemporary, with an art gallery and artists' studios on the first floor and a private residence on the second floor.
