Cooks Point
History
4
Founded about 1840 where the colonial road from the southeast crossed San Antonio Road, Cooks Point was the site of settler Gabriel Jackson's two-story log cabin and trading post. The community was named for Silas L. Cooke, who surveyed much of the land in this vicinity, and it is now a thriving rural village.
