The Wofford Lookout Complex is a historic fire lookout in Lincoln National Forest in southern New Mexico, centered on an eighty-foot tower and its support buildings. Built in 1933, it reflects a time when staffed lookout towers were essential to detecting wildfires across the remote forests of the American Southwest. The site survives as an example of an earlier fire-management system that depended on isolated mountain observation points and the structures needed to operate them. Its historical importance was formally recognized in 1988 when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of a group of Forest Service fire lookouts in the Southwestern Region.
