The burial ground known as Eagle Lake Masonic Cemetery was purchased in 1880 by Eagle Lake Masonic Lodge No. 366, which had been established in 1872, and its earliest known burial occurred in 1867. Those buried here include Eagle Lake Mayor and U.S. Representative Joseph Jefferson Mansfield, Women Airforce Service Pilot Patricia Braun O'Bannon, and Williamson Simpson Oldham, the namesake of Oldham County, who died in 1868 and is among those reinterred. Its features include curbing monuments, Masonic gravestones, grave slabs, and obelisks. Early in its history, a Ladies Cemetery Association cared for the burial ground, and today the Eagle Lake Masonic Cemetery LLC maintains this historic cemetery.
