On last Friday, two Cherokee men came into the camps to learn whether anything could be done for their relief. They said they had left their families sick, and one of them said he had lost one of his children. When they were told that those in the camp were themselves all prisoners and could do nothing for their relief, the young man who had lost one of his children showed great feeling, his eyes immediately filled with tears, and his countenance indicated despair.
