Kilgour School was formed in 1869. The building stood about 4 miles southwest of Oskaloosa at the corner of 78th and Lincoln. It was moved to Oskaloosa in 1950 and became part of the elementary grade school complex for grades 1-4, along with Plum Grove, Tibbott, and lumber from Lone Tree Schools. The combined Kilgour/Plum Grove building was relocated to Old Jefferson Town in 1975. It now houses the Jefferson Co. Genealogical Society Resource Center (Library).
