Rippavilla Plantation in Spring Hill, Tennessee, also known as Meadowbrook and the Nathaniel Cheairs House, preserves a former plantation landscape and house tied to the Cheairs family. Established from an 1810 land grant, it grew from a 1,500-acre farm worked through enslaved Black labor, with 46 enslaved people held by about 1840 and as many as 75 by 1860. Built in stages, the house combined antebellum Greek Revival origins with major Colonial Revival remodeling in 1928–1932. The plantation saw little Civil War damage, later passed out of the family in 1920, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996 for its architectural significance.
