A meetinghouse stood here by 1761. The Lutheran and Reformed Union Church at the Peaked Mountain, the second meetinghouse, was dedicated in 1768, and the third and last meetinghouse was dedicated in 1804. The Reformed congregation later built Brown Memorial Church, dedicated in 1886. The Lutheran congregation remained at Peaked Mountain Church but became inactive in the 1930s. The property was sold in 1946, and the building served as the McGaheysville Youth Center from 1948 until 1962, when it was dismantled.
