Schwab Hall served as the home of the Saint Francis science program until 1962, when Sullivan Hall opened to accommodate the school's growing science curriculum. After that it functioned in many capacities during the growth and continuing development of Saint Francis University. In 2016, following an extensive reconstruction, it became the home of the Shields School of Business, while the university preserved the 'Science Hall' designation above the entrance to recognize the building's history.
