Goldbug Hot Springs is a backcountry hot spring in the Salmon-Challis National Forest south of Salmon, Idaho, set beside Warm Spring Creek. It is known for about six terraced, waterfall-fed pools with sand and gravel bottoms, where water emerges near 113°F before flowing into Warm Springs Creek and the Salmon River. Reached by a remote 2-mile hike with significant elevation gain, the site is often less crowded than more accessible hot springs. Open year-round and free to visit, it lies in Idaho high desert habitat with varied wildlife, while camping is restricted near the trailhead, easement, and spring itself.
