Standin' on the Corner Park in downtown Winslow, Arizona, opened in 1999 as part of a local effort to revive the town after Route 66 traffic and downtown trade declined following Interstate 40's bypass. Inspired by the lyric from "Take It Easy," written by Jackson Browne and Glenn Frey and popularized by the Eagles, the park turns the song's imagery into a landmark through a mural by John Pugh, a flatbed Ford, and Ron Adamson's bronze statue Easy. Later additions and setbacks included a 2004 fire behind the corner and a 2016 Glenn Frey statue. The park became a symbol of Winslow's reinvention through tourism, public art, and music history.
