Mission Peak is a mountain in Washington’s Wenatchee Mountains on the border of Chelan and Kittitas counties, within the Wenatchee National Forest beside the Mission Ridge Ski Area above the Wenatchee Valley. Water from its summit area drains into Mission Creek and eventually reaches the Wenatchee River at Cashmere. Its Dsc Köppen climate brings a long snow season, with snow cover usually lasting from late November into early June, followed by dry summers from June to September. Along the crest of the Wenatchee Mountains, the peak is also known for severe winds, with gusts recorded above 135 miles per hour.
