Nature
The South Hills are a range of small foothills in Montana, best known as the rise of land south of Missoula. In the Missoula area, they reach about 3,592 feet in elevation and form the higher ground above the city’s southern side. The name also applies to neighborhoods built into these foothills, including Whitaker Heights and Farviews, Hillview Heights and South Hills, and Miller Creek-Linda Vista. More than a single sharply defined mountain mass, the South Hills are the local foothill landscape that shapes Missoula’s southern edge.
